Influential photographers.

Ron Haviv
Ron Haviv is an Emmy nominated and award-winning photojournalist who is dedicated to documenting conflict and raising awareness about human rights issues around the globe. This photo is his most famous. It is of a Serb kicking a Muslim woman who had been shot by Serb forces. Haviv had gained access to the Tigers, a nationalist militia. They had warned him not to photograph any killings. But Haviv was determined to document the cruelty he was witnessing. He risked his entire life for this photo. A week after Haviv took this photo, it was posted by Time Magazine. The image of casual hatred sparked debate over the international response to this issue. Because of this photo, Haviv was put on the Tigers’ hit list. Arkan, a military commander for the Tigers was indicted in 1997 for crimes against humanity. Haviv’s image was used as evidence against him and other perpetrators of what people know as ethnic cleansing. Aside from this photo, he has visited many other places around the world and documented their struggles. He has published three books and has been influential in the photojournalism world and the political world. He is such a successful photographer because he is willing to take risks they others aren’t willing to take. He risked his life for many of the pictures that are now very famous today.

Tim Walker Photography - famous photographers
Tim Walker is a British fashion photographer whose creativity is off the charts. He is responsible for fashion’s most magical photos. Walker is one of the most creative photographers working today. Walker’s sets are fantastical environments. Walker often plays with proportion, casting his models as giants in a shrunken world, or vice versa.  in 2005, a 25-year-old Tim Walker shot his first fashion story for British Vogue. He has now contributed to many high-profile magazines including Vogue, W, and Harper's Bazaar and has shot two front covers for British Vogue. In 2008, his first major exhibition was held at the Design Museum in London, around the same time as the publication of his first book, entitled "Pictures." In the same year, Walker received the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator at the British Fashion Awards. In May 2009, he received an infinity award from The International Centre of Photography in New York for his work as a fashion photographer. Last September, Walker showcased over 150 pieces created over his 25-year career. Walker is now extremely famous and considered one of the best in the fashion photography world. I was interested to find that he actually took Harry Styles’ album cover to his hit song “Watermelon Sugar.” Walker has become so successful through his unique perspective and his unrivaled creativity.
